BENJAMIN ANIN MENSAH
Board Chairman

Ben has led the Board since the establishment of the Company as the Chairman and continues exploits in providing policy direction for the company vis-à-vis its mission and vision. Under his chairmanship, the Company’s corporate governance guidelines have been developed and strictly implemented.

Ben has an in-depth knowledge in how the Company’s businesses relate to the industry. His accuracy in judgment has provided a high level of significance in advancing the course of the company. As a businessman and Pharmacist, he avidly leads and coordinates deliberations on strategic planning of the company. 

Ben’s continuous inspirational leadership has always provided the activation energy to management to scale greater heights and has also encouraged the Board to set even higher standards, hence this accomplishment.As an astute Business Entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience as Managing Director of Benny’s Chemist Limited with proven acumen, he brings to the Board a wealth of ideas that translate into valuable perspective and guidance in the areas of corporate governance, strategy, operations, diversification and other indispensable disciplines.

Ben holds B. Pharm from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana and has undertaking Management Courses from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Pharmacist Benjamin Anin Mensah was honoured by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) for his outstanding contribution to the practice of pharmacy (community practice) in 2005 Annual General Meeting.

His company Bennyvee Chemist Limited now Benny’s Chemist Limited was also adjudged the Best Pharmacy in Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo Regions by (PSGH) in the year 2005.

NICHOLAS FRIMPONG BOATENG
Managing Director

Nicholas is a results-driven and self motivated Managing Director with a characteristic and professional ability to coordinate management issues, develop and strengthen management teams in order to optimize company efficiency.

He has a unique ability to establish sustainable and true hearted relationships with clients and suppliers across the globe. In spite of the demanding and high-pressured nature of this pinnacle position, he has provided an incredible leadership that has resulted in an extraordinary landmark and impressive construction portfolio. Methodical by nature and through his deep insight in construction and multidisciplinary craftsmanship coupled with his penchant for excellence, he has inspired, stimulated to action and led a strong team of professionals to advance the course charted by the Company.

He has therefore successfully led in the promotion of the Company’s reputation in the market and with clients and suppliers by identifying, developing and directing the implementation of the company’s strategy since its establishment. Nicholas began his career as an Architectural Draughtsman. He is an alumnus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He holds a Diploma in Architectural Technology, Certificate in Architectural Draughtsmanship and a Certificate in Architectural and Structural Draughtsmanship. He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Construction (GIOC) and Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET).

CHARLES ESSEL
Technical Director

Working closely with the Managing Director, Charles’ enterprising and excellent interpretation and response to situations have directed carefully and safely (navigated) Nickseth Construction company Limited to this extraordinary achievement. As an Engineer and Architect, Charles leads in the definition of the technological strategy of the company, overseeing technical designs, identifying strengths, assessing technical risks and prescribing mitigation measures.

His ability to recognize opportunities and predict changing industrial requirements and adoption of advanced construction equipment, new and innovative technologies and discover training needs of staff have been central to achieving the company’s short-term and long term objectives and make advances towards its vision. Charles, a Lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, holds a Master of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from St. Petersburg State University of Architectural Engineering, St. Petersburg, Russia and a Full Technological Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Engineering Option) from Tarkwa School of Mines, Tarkwa, Ghana. His technical prowess has been very cardinal in the successful diversification of the company which in turn has significantly enhanced its reputation and increased its valuation. Being a Mechanical Engineer He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Architects, a member of the Ghana Institute of Construction and a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET).

GODFRED OWUSU-BOATENG
Member

Godfred has been a Member of the Board of Directors of Nickseth Construction Company Limited since its establishment in the year 2006. He has proven skills in Environmental Impact Assessment; causes and impacts of anthropogenic perturbations on the health of both humans and the environment including wetlands; and the suitable mitigation measures towards restoration and conservation.

Therefore the stringency of the company to environmental standards is pivot around Godfred. Godfred holds and a PhD from the School of Science and Engineering, Atlantic International University, USA and an MSc from the Department of Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy/Materials Science and Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana; another MSc from the Department of Biochemistry, KNUST, and a BSc from the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources, KNUST. He holds also a Certificate in Education from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana, a Certificate in Entrepreneurship Development Studies, Kumasi Polytechnic, a Diploma in Strategic Management (Single Subject) and a Diploma in Human Resources Management (Single Subject) both from the Institute of Commercial Management, UK – Ghana. He has undertaken several local, national and international consultancies in a wide range of disciplines. He serves as a member of the Boards of several national organizations devoted to education and environmental conservation, mitigation of adverse environmental impact. He is a prolific writer having to his credit several Scientific Journal publications and Text Books. He is a member of the Ghana Science Association. Godfred is a Senior Lecturer in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

RIGHT REV. THOMAS AMPONSAH – DONKOR
Member

The Right Reverend Thomas Amponsah-Donkor is the Methodist Bishop of the Tarkwa Diocese. He is a Barrister-at-Law and a Solicitor and an Associate of Hayfron-Benjamin & Co. a Law Firm in Kumasi. Bishop Amponsah-Donkor is also a Member of the seven-man Legal Advisory Team of the Methodist Church Ghana and a member of the Ghana Bar Association.

SETH ADJAYE OTCHERE
Member

Seth contributes to ensuring that the company meets its goals of efficiency and customer satisfaction. He assists the Managing Director in implement operational strategies as per the Company’s strategic plans and also in monitoring and controlling the Company’s performance and finances in accordance with the budgets approved by the Board of Directors. He has a strong business mindset as reflected in his unwavering commitment towards enhancing the Company’s image. He inspires and motivates staff to discharge their duties. Seth participates in life-long learning opportunities and professional development.

He holds a BA in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana Diploma in Advance Applied Insurance Studies and Diploma in Applied Insurance Studies ( AIS ) both awarded by the, Malta International Training Centre.

KOFI AGYEMAN BONSU
Secretary to Board

Kofi, an Alumnus of Kumasi Polytechnic with a Diploma in Business Studies performs a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties: He serves as a point of contact between management and customers and clients. He communicates with clients and evaluates their needs. He manages company’s records, prepares correspondence, improves workplace communication and efficiency and arranges staff travels. He is responsible for coordinating activities such as workshops and meetings. Kofi’s excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to prioritize under pressure with meticulousness, coupled with a display of good levels of discretion, sensitivity and integrity explains his passion and success.
