Nana Dr. Arc. David Nyame Tawiah is a distinguished Ghanaian architect, academic, business executive, education entrepreneur, and traditional leader known for his contributions to architecture, industrial operations, education, and community development in Ghana.

Dr. Tawiah is a trained architect and built-environment professional with extensive experience in architecture, project management, operations management, and strategic leadership. He studied at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he developed a strong foundation in architecture and environmental design. His academic and research interests have particularly focused on green architecture, sustainable building systems, urban heat mitigation, and climate-responsive design, with research on green roofs and thermal performance in tropical environments. His scholarly work has contributed to discussions on sustainable architecture in Ghana and beyond.

Professionally, Dr. Tawiah serves as Deputy Managing Director of Operations at DBS Industries Limited, a leading roofing manufacturer in Ghana, overseeing operations, strategic growth, project execution, and performance optimization. His leadership has been instrumental in improving manufacturing efficiency, operational systems, and customer delivery standards. He is also recognized for his expertise in project planning, monitoring and evaluation, and business process improvement. He is publicly known as an architect and project manager at DBS Industries.

In academia, Dr. Tawiah is a Part-Time Lecturer at KNUST, where he contributes to teaching and mentorship in areas related to architecture, landscape, urbanism, sustainability, and design thinking. His academic engagement reflects his passion for shaping future professionals in the built environment. KNUST lists him as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Horticulture.

Beyond his corporate and academic roles, Dr. Tawiah is a committed entrepreneur and education advocate. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Davita School Complex, where he promotes quality education and youth development. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Passage Parlor Mortuary, where he leads service innovation and expansion in the mortuary and funeral support industry across Ghana.

In recognition of his leadership, service, and commitment to community development, Dr. Tawiah was enstooled as the Nkosuohene (Development Chief) of Chirapatre in Kumasi, taking the stool name Nana Kwabena Ankomah Nyame. In this traditional leadership role, he champions initiatives focused on education, healthcare, youth empowerment, sanitation, and infrastructure development. His vision emphasizes sustainable community transformation through strategic investment in human capital and social development.
