As we continue to grow and expand our impact, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Accounts Officer to join our Finance Department.

This role plays a critical part in our financial planning, reporting, and compliance processes. You will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals to ensure accuracy, transparency, and insight in all financial transactions and reporting. Your Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to support the financial operations of the business with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and value-driven reporting. Daily tasks include:
• Preparing accurate financial statements, ledgers, and reconciliation reports
• Recording all company transactions into the accounting system on a daily basis
• Monitoring cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
• Supporting monthly and quarterly closings, ensuring all adjustments are properly captured
• Reviewing procurement documents, project costings, and vendor payment processes
• Assisting external auditors with documentation during annual audits
• Ensuring compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) regulations and filing tax returns (PAYE, VAT, CIT, etc.)
• Generating periodic financial performance and variance analysis reports
• Collaborating with procurement, HR, and project teams to align expenses and budgets
• Contributing to the development of internal controls and best practices
• Managing petty cash, bank reconciliations, and digital payment systems
• Supporting finance software maintenance, including upgrades and new system integrations

 

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who is meticulous, proactive, and adaptable, with a solid foundation in accounting practices. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
• Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in a similar accounting or finance role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally ERP, Sage, or similar systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and dashboards
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws, GRA compliance, and financial regulations
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel Reporting
• Knowledge of basic SQL is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
• Full professional fluency in English; proficiency in Twi or other local languages is a bonus
• Professional certification such as ICA Ghana, ACCA, or CIMA (in progress or completed) is highly desirable
